Happy 2021!
The World Federation of Music Therapy is excited to move forward with you into this new year. Recently, I hosted a couple of meetings for our members. One was for full organizational member leaders in which we focused on supporting music therapists during the pandemic. Another meeting was open to all members with a range of topics that provided opportunities for people to connect across the globe. During this time of challenge and perseverance, please visit our YouTube channel and website to see videos of music therapists’ adaptation and resilience. Send us your stories and videos as well to share with our global community.
Two exciting events are on the horizon. First, the location for the 17th World Congress of Music Therapy will be announced soon. Stay tuned to our website and social media channels for details. Second, World Music Therapy Day is coming up! Find information and promotional material at https://wfmt.info/wmtd/ Submit a photo to the annual contest and engage in social media to help determine the winner. Create content to be shared on March with the hashtag #worldmusictherapyday. Retweet and share content to increase the reach of educational, celebrational, and advocacy materials. Let’s make 2021 a year of great momentum for our profession!
