World Art Therapy Festival is held in Prague, Czech Republic from 26th to 28th September 2025. It is organized by the MAUT Association. The festival will center around interpersonal relationships and communication; self-development, self-awareness and self-convidence; stress, burnout, relaxation and releasing tension; the present moment and virtuality; psychosomatics.
The Latin American Music Therapy Congress 2025 will be held from July 3 to 5 in Mexico at the Autonomous University of Puebla (BUAP). Organized by the Music Therapists Association of Mexico and the Latin American Committee of Music Therapy, it is the region's key academic event in the field.

The 18th World Congress of Music Therapy, organized by the Italian Association of Music Therapy (AIM), the Italian Federation of Music Therapy (FIM), and Punto di Svolta – Music Therapy Professional Association (PDS), will be held in Bologna from July 8-12, 2026. Under the theme “Connecting Borders. Creating Networks and Enhancing Identities through Music Therapy”.
This event represents a unique opportunity to reflect together on how music therapy can unite diverse worlds, build connections, and break down barriers. It will be a moment to explore how music therapy can contribute to the creation of deep bonds, respecting both individual and community identity values, and the complexity of a constantly evolving world.
All current WFMT full organizational members are eligible to submit a congress proposal. World Congresses are held in metropolitan cities that are easy accessible from major airports. Should you consider hosting a forthcoming WFMT World Congresses, please follow the steps below. This could be a once in a lifetime opportunity for your organization and bring positive attention and awareness of music therapy to your country.
Step 1: Submit a Letter of Intent.
Step 2: Develop a proposal in accordance with the WFMT Bylaws and submit it to pastpresident@wfmt.info
Step 3: The Council will review your full proposal and contact you to clarify open questions.
Step 4: You might be invited to present your proposal in person to the Council and WFMT Membership
Step 5: The Council will make a decision and inform you.
