Dear WFMT Members,This month, I invite you to suggest candidates for the WFMT Regional Liaisons’ position. As you know, in 2008, we appointed eight Regional Liaisons to the Council who are representing the following regions: North America Latin America, Africa, Eastern Mediterranean, Southeast Asia, Australia/New Zealand, Europe, and Western Pacific. According to the WFMT Bylaws, the Regional Liaisons must reside in the region they represent and are appointed by the Officers of the Council and Chairperson of the Commissions. Some of our current Regional Liaisons are committed to serve one further term of three years, which we welcome as it guarantees thesustainability of this organization.However, should you have additional candidates in mind who are eligible to serve, please make use of the online suggestion form below by April 30, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. (PST). Please download and review the Job Description, including tasks, time commitments, and core strengths we suggest for serving as one of the eight Regional Liaisons.
