2021 January student blog - Stephanie Cheung

Happy new year everyone! Greetings from the Western Pacific Region. I would like to start the first blog in 2021 by wishing everyone a new year with happiness and success.

It has already been a year for living under this pandemic in Asia. Although the situation varies every day, everyone starts to get used to this lifestyle and resuming to our normal life. Therapy work has been affected throughout the year. Social distancing and working from home did not stop music therapists to provide their best service to those in need. A mixture of online therapy and face-to-face therapy have been provided to maintain a regular basis. In Hong Kong, a series of webinars about music therapy have been provided by Institute for Creative Arts Therapy (HK). Webinars are offered free of charge, and encourage discussions among multi-disciplinary.

They have on the other hand introduced a study scholarship program, wishing to encourage students to pursue their dreams in music therapy, helping them to apply for eligible degrees from academy that are recognized by creative art therapy associations. For those from Hong Kong who are interest in this disciplinary, please do not hesitate to fulfill your dream!

Wishing all of you a safe, healthy and prosperous new year in 2021. Let us all stay together and do the best we can to create fruitful memories for this year.
